Bulkley Board & Beam began in the summer of 2010, building a network of jobs and relationships around a portable Wood-Mizer sawmill and the wood products that it could produce. Our desire is to encourage, employ, and empower young men in our community.
Encourage
While working together, we seek to provide deep relational, spiritual, and practical encouragement. Workers become part of our team, build something they can take pride in, and share their lives with others they come to trust.
Employ
Through custom milling of lumber, beams, and siding, and building portable sheds and shelters we are currently employing 5-6 workers on a part-time basis. Each is able to learn at his/her own pace and help provide for themselves and their families. Here they can learn skills and habits that can increase their employability for other jobs, and foster the desire for a career in the future.
Empower
We believe every individual has value and is created by God for a meaningful life. We seek to provide people with a safe place to learn and grow, surround them with supportive relationships, and create opportunities for them to explore and experience God's great love for them.
