THE LIVING BOARD & BEAM

We at BB & B would like to acknowledge the board and beam that stands out above all the others. For it was on a rough cut old board, nailed to a rough cut old beam that the most significant event of all human history occurred. It is this cross that gives meaning to all we are and do.

Our goal at BB & B is to value people.

We can do this only because God has made each person with a priceless worth. There is a dignity in each person because they are divinely created, with infinite uniqueness, and measureless value to their creator. The board & beam on which Jesus died showed us the full extent of God's love.

Our privilege at BB & B is to love others.

As a tree follows the blueprint of its original seed, so we enjoy love only because it was planted in this world and in our hearts. The board and beam of Calvary showed us God's nature, proved his love for us, and demonstrated that love gives completely of itself to lift up another.

Our freedom at BB & B is grace.

We have opportunities every day to live out grace with one another. We can thrive where we have freedom to learn and grow. Jesus came to this world he created with grace and truth. He didn't come to condemn but to save. On that board and beam he died to cleanse and pardon. He rose again to offer new life to all of us who will receive his forgiveness and follow him in his way of love.

We at BB & B can be reminded of these things with every board and beam we cut. We can live today with hope and love, because of God's great love for us. For this we are thankful, and this we share with you.
